What
Is Scrip?
Scrip
is a term that means “substitute money”. When
you purchase Scrip, you’re purchasing negotiable gift
certificates and cards that are used just like cash. You
can use scrip to purchase everyday expenses like food, clothing,
other essentials, and gifts, and with every purchase, you
earn revenue
for Grandview Heights K-6 PTO.
The PTO is a member of and orders gift cards through the
Great Lakes Scrip Center. Because the Scrip is purchased
with cash up front, the participating retailers offer a
substantial discount. PTO buys the Scrip from Great Lakes
Scrip Center at a discount, and re-sells the certificates
to families like yours for full face value—you get
dollar for dollar what you pay! The discount - from two
to fifteen percent or more – is PTO’s revenue!
How do you participate?
There are two ways to order scrip gift cards. You can use
this order
form. Print and fill out the order form and send it
with a check to school with your child in an envelope marked
“PTO/scrip.”
You can also order online at www.shopwithscrip.com.
Our enrollment code is 774ED67C617L. The advantage to ordering
online is that you will be able to see the most up-to-date
list of vendors. The ShopWithScrip website does not take
credit cards. You will print out your order and send it
to school with payment in an envelope marked “PTO/scrip.”
